Two Security Sites Close Amid Economic Pressure

The poor economy hits two more security web sites, making news and sharing of information security information that much harder to find.
Castle Cops and Technocrat went dark last month showing that the poor economy and trying to make money by advertising is still very difficult for a startup. The problem is when an information security site goes dark, it is harder for the good guys to find information unless they are willing to hang out in hacker boards and share what they are learning there. This is a loss to the community, because ecrime is booming, and security engineers need to know what is happening, or about to happen by hanging out in the cyber crime boards.
Both web sites have their good bye messages up, but with the loss of Johnny I hack stuff, and other sites that I don't know about 2009 could see a loss of good intelligence for people who are doing security research or just wants to know what is going on.
If you are interested in finding out what is happening in information security, the next best place is to check out the Security Bloggers Network, (This is the direct feed URL) this is a group of many bloggers who are talking about information security across the planet, and often provides a lot of very good information. Although in many ways it is European centric, what is happening there is also happening here in the states. If you want to try to keep on top of what is happening in the information security world, then this feed with over 200 posts per week is probably your next best bet.
Let me know where you get your information security news, and I'll post an update with links, and credit for sharing.
