Security processes include physical, data, and personnel security.
Customize company security procedures as appropriate for the security classification of the project. For example, proposal project work may require increased security. Involve the appropriate company personnel at an early stage to address items that require a long lead time, such as national security clearances. Liaise with the appropriate designated customer personnel for particular security related requirements imposed by the customer.
Ensure that the security procedures are included in, and distributed as part of, the Project Standards and Procedures. Pay particular attention to avoiding loss of valuable work and intellectual property through theft and/or inadequate backup.
Implement security procedures such as badges, sign-in registers, and electronic lock accessibility, depending on the security requirements.
Monitor the security related practices in all project facilities.
