06.10.09 T-Mobile May Have Been Hacked By
Dan Morrill A message to the full disclosure list showed up today claiming to have access to the entire back end infrastructure of T-Mobile. The message to Full Disclosure today from Pwnmobile claims to have hacked into and own the majority of the data on the T-Mobile phone systems today. While the data is unverified, and there is no comment from T-Mobile at the time I posted this, the data provided in the message shows that at the very least, at some point, there has been a scan of the inside network. The message states: Like Checkpoint Tmobile has been owned for some time. We have everything, their databases, confidential documents, scripts, and programs from their servers, financial documents up to 2009. We already contacted with their competitors and they didn't show interest in buying their data -probably because the mails got to the wrong people- so now we are offering them for the highest bidder. Please only serious offers don't waste our time. Name Type Team Application Name ApplicationID Application Operating System IP Address Facility Blank Blank Blank Tier 1 Apps Tier 2 Apps ? Prod ![]()
![]() Source: Full Disclosure The IP Addresses are all internal ones, and while this does not mean that there has been an actual hack, this does mean that internal data from t-mobile has hit the full disclosure list. This is also not the first time that T-Mobile has been hacked in the past in 2005, where Nicolas Jacobsen had access to the network and was using it to spy on the Secret Service. In all this is going to be a busy weekend at T-Mobile while they try to figure out if they have been hacked, and if not, how the data got released. It would be interesting to see if this is old data from the 2005 hack, or if this is something entirely new.
